The Monogram Titanium line of trunks features a watch trunk that can fit up to 8 watches. It is inspired by sci-fi and looks very futuristic.

The trunks are made of polished titanium alloy that has that’s been laser engraved with Louis Vuitton’s signature motif. The new fashion trunks we saw are cool looking and is perfect for storage of watches and timepieces such as the new Omega SpeedMaster Ultraman that I have recently reviewed.

There are darker shades on the trunks which make it look from the future. This is due to the locks and borders being made from ruthenium that gives it that look. The borders are covered with leather and hand hammered with round nails.

In the interior, it is lined with grey microfiber to match the titanium alloy and feature 8 cushions for the wondrous timepieces. With this Monogram Titanium Range, Louis Vuitton has also released other trunks including a champagne box, a boxy mountaineer’s backpack, and a carry-on wheeled bag.

Originally named Coffret 8 Montres Monogram Titane, the price listed for this trunk is about US$27,600 or about the same cost of buying four new Omega SpeedMaster Ultraman. These trunks are available throughout all Louis Vuitton boutiques.

Introducing the Omega First Omega Wrist-Chronograph Limited Edition which uses 18″ chronograph movements from 1913. And no these are not reproductions of the vintage movements but instead they are actual vintage chronograph calibers that have been stored since 1913. They have used these vintage calibers and added and cased in large wristwatch cases. The design used is to reflect the old style of wristwatches.

The movements and calibers had to be refurbished that brought in traditional hand assembly with modern analytics and finishing techniques. An important step working with these vintage calibers were the addition of modern jeweling. Jewels used that to be a perfect fit for the original components.

The watchmakers at Omega wanted to keep the first designs of Omega’s wristwatch chronographs used during World War I by the British Royal Flying Corps. This features a hinged caseback. The result is watch that is both vintage and modern. While using the vintage calibers, the modern aspect of the watch is the analytical and manufacturing methods that were employed.

This timepiece is perfect for those who love mechanical horology as an art craft. Omega has shown great superiority by showing they have been in the game since the early 20th century.
